The perfect platform to build a race bike on. Or a bike to beat up your friends on.

Philosophy

Rivette is a danish company. All development is done in-house in Denmark.

There is a lot of soul and love of cycling present in every Rivette frame. That is not something to be said lightly, so to understand the company and people behind the product, there are 2 sections of this site that are a must-read. The first is the 'Rivette' page and is a brief history of our young company. The other is the 'Rivette Log', which contains a diverse collection of product notes, race reports and all around tall tales.

The idea is that if you appreciate our view on the sport of cycling, you are very likely to absolutely love our framesets and bikes.

H6 Frameset

It’s no secret anymore - the Rivette H6 is a top-level racing mountainbike, featuring all of the Rivette trademarks for a winning combination. Rivette mountainbikes are designed with internal cable routing, which not only gives the bike a clean look, but also keeps the dirt out of your gears, making your cables last longer and keeping your shifting on the beat, no matter the conditions!

No external cables also means no cable stops. Those annoying little things, which have the habit of either bruising your thighs in the case of a not-so-flattering dismount, or dig in to your shoulder if you have to carry your bike while crossing a non-rideable obstackle. And when you set the pace of the race, things like that are bound to happen.

The Rivette mountainbike frames are disc-only, meaning no bosses for V-brakes. In exchange we have found a way for the rear disc brake hose inside the frame. The hose enters the top-tube at the front, and exits the seatstay near the brake caliper.

The Rivette design features hugely oversized tubes, making an extremely stiff frame with superb power transfer and excellent riding abilities, making it a true racing bike. Due to the Rivette system shim, the oversize tubing scales down to a smaller-diameter seatpost, offering a little flex for comfort. We like that combination, and we are sure you and your back will like it too.
What sets the H6 apart from the H4, is the visco milling post-process. That’s tech talk for a chemical process that smooths out the inside of the tubing, making it much stronger and even lighter.

There are more images of the H6 frameset in the Rivette Photos section.

Geometries

Proportional Fit is the name of the geometry concept that H series geometry is based on. The fundamental idea of Proportional Fit is a completely proportional frame size graduation based on seating position. Based on a fixed course for stem length and saddle height the sizes of the Rivette H series are absolutely proportional. In that way it is very easy to adjust small deviations like legs compared to the length of the upper body using small corrections in stem length. That is small variations (1-2 cm) which do not have an impact on the handling properties. The system has fully backing from all physiological statistic data and riders in the limited sized in particular will experience a lot better driving position. Additional information of Rivette geometries is found in the Rivette Log.

* Please note that head tubes designed for integrated head sets, like the Rivette H series, are generally around 15-20 mm longer than head tubes designed for regular head sets. This is to compensate for the shorter stack height of the integrated head set.
All measurements in mm unless otherwise noted.
